Caring for your Flowers

Here are a few pointers to help to ensure the best vase life for your bouquet and keep your flowers looking their best…

  • Start with a clean vase filled with fresh water.

  • Take off any leaves that will sit below the waterline…this is because they decay and cause bacteria to form.

  • Cut around 2.5 cm off each stem, at an angle to aid the uptake of water from the base of the stem, placing straight into the vase.

  • The stems will take up a lot of water in the first couple of days so keep an eye on the water level in your vase and add more as necessary.

  • Replace the water every 2 – 3 days.

  • Place your flowers in a cool, light spot, avoiding direct sunlight, heat sources and drafts.

  • Remove fading blooms from the vase.
